Zachary Wadsworth, (b. 1983) composed "The Muses" in a version for violin, bass viola da gamba, and harpsichord, which PRB Productions will publish shortly. In 2010 he completed an arrangement for treble, tenor, and two bass viols, which was premiered in Berkeley, California in March by the ensemble Quaver. Each of the 9 short character pieces was composed as an offering to each of the Muses, and to the subject she represents. The style reflects Zach's "passion for early music performance."
